About
Welcome to KIT FORM DARKROOM, a community-led, black & white DARKROOM in the Heart of Stokes Croft. We are a shared, DIY photography darkroom with an experimental and sustainable soul. Whether you want to print with chemicals or discover alternative processes, our darkroom is the space for you.
Join us for an induction session, become a member, book your first session or join us for a workshop! KIT FORM DARKROOM is your space to print, experiment, and develop.
Joining the DARKROOM
In order to join the DARKROOM, you will need to become a member by paying £10, which includes a 2-hour induction to introduce you to the space and processes.
Inductions run Monday evenings from 18:30 - 20:30. Email Katie at kitformdarkroom@gmail.com to book!
You’ll then be free to book a session on an enlarger (also by emailing Katie)
Our enlarger sessions run for 3 hours and cost £15. This includes one enlarger, chemistry and tech support. Our current slots are:
12:00 - 15:00: Mon, Tue & Wed
15:00 - 18:00: Mon, Tue & Wed
18:00 - 21:00: Mon

Need a quick refresher? A 30-minute refresher session is available @ £10
Workshops
Our workshops will guide you through the magic of black and white darkroom techniques, materials and processes.
Basic Principles: Black & White Printing Workshop
Weds 16th August, 6pm - 9pm
With an introduction to equipment, chemistry and materials provided, come and develop your printing techniques and some magical black and white photographs.
This is a beginner friendly workshop - but please do bring a small selection of black and white negatives to print from.
