The exhibition explores what is valued, inherited and made visible within family histories.

Kelly O’Brien’s No Rest for the Wicked explores the cycle of labour endured by poor and working class women across three generations. She uses photography to examine what is passed between generations—not only objects and images, but identities, knowledge, labour and social histories. She examines the often-unrecognised labour of women and the knowledge passed between generations.

Yuko Edwards' What You See in my Face is a look into a racially blended family and the shift in time and place that occurs when a family combines within a generation. When the restructuring of love, land and stories move along race and class lines, is the family ever really blended? The work demonstrates inherited knowledge and draws heavily from the family's archive and new pictures that reflect that progression through time and space.

Come and explore the experimental and accessible process of printing black & white photographs with Caffenol — a photographic developer made using coffee and other everyday ingredients that you have in your cupboard at home!

IMPORTANT - Bring your black and white negatives for this hands-on workshop which introduces you to the experimental process of developing photographs and explores an alternative approach to traditional photographic chemistry.

Suitable for beginners and all levels.

Join us for a relaxed, untutored United Models Life Drawing session. All welcome; regulars, newbies and everyone in between.

There will always be two models posing, one for each half of the session and poses range from 30 seconds to 20 minutes.

Basic drawing materials, drawing boards and easels are available, but please bring your own paper/ sketchbook, if you can.

Arrive from 18:45 to get settled and grab a drink, so we can start drawing at 19:00. There will be a break halfway through the session.

Recently minted duo blending an intertwining helix of electronics with flute/pipes. The curve of an oscillator impossible to parse from the low arc of amplified air. Beguiling brutality, blissful beauty.

Rebecca Sneddon

Rare solo outting from this serial collaborator. Previous jaunts have included electronics, field recordings and little instruments alongside the customary saxophone. Let's see what happens this time. Graffiti in the Cube reads 'Sneddon is God' - come see the light.

Expect a night of poetry that seeks to tackle and make sense of the times we live in.

Everybody is welcome to come and listen, regardless of whether they are fans of poetry or not - the aim of the evening is to provide an emotional outlet and a sense of communality.
